During this semester I really enjoy this subject because I learned about different countries, languages, organizations, religions, etc, I learned a lot about different cultures.

With this blog I had the opportunity to research about different topics and to learn about them, I also had the opportunity to write what I thought and to express my self in my own way. I understood and I learned about my different class mates, so I think that this activity was excellent and was the best thing of the course.

Latin america organization

When I was searching for the different organizations existing in Lain America I founded the COTAL organization which I thought that was really important and interesting, so I wanted to share all this information for all of you, so you can now about this organization and maybe you can get familiarized with it.

COTAL which means " Confederación de Organizaciones Turísticas de la América Latina" wants to create an "America Latina Unida" by remaining available to the interests of its members, the official bodies of each country and all organizations that want to be part of it. With this union COTAL wants to show the world the wonderful opportunities that America Latina can offer, either for tourism but also for human development.

COTAL believes that the region of Latin America needs and deserves to be on top in terms of global tourism, this is why this organization was created, to encourage to all the world to visit an also invest in Latin America and to invite them to change their way of thinking about Latin America.

Discrimination toward indigenous communities:

Australia is an important case of discrimination toward minorities, all of this is because the Government was the one who promoted it trough polices, this policies were the ones that separated the indigenous children from their families and also from their communities.

The name “assimilation” was used to force them to put away their ceremonies, languages, and many other things, in other words to put away their culture and everything related to their lifestyles.

In 2008 the Prime Minister Kevin Rod gave a speech apologizing to all the Australians indigenous people for the pain that they had suffer and also for all the losses and the difficulties that they had to lived, in this speech the Prime Minister talked about education, employment and many other things that encourage these people because after all this suffering they were listening proposes that were supposed to give them opportunities.

The organizations existing in each country must know and must help everyday to solve this kind of problems because no one deserves to suffer in this way.

Hello!!! here I am again choosing the best blog of my class, I must said before mentioning the name of mi winner that most of the blogs that I saw were great! Congratulations for everyone!!!

E-commerce in the muslim world

The e-commerce is a new way of doing business used by the Muslims, this new way of doing business is not as easy at it sounds, I mean, this e-commerce way of doing business must be based on the muslim principles of conducting business and it has to be legal for the Muslims; For this, they must follow the four pillars of a contract and this way it is going to be legal for them.

In their way of conducting business the faith is an important factor for them, also there are some values that are really important for a businessman, for example, an Islam businessman has to be honest, truthful and has to be very "perfect" in the business dealings, but in the case of the e-commerce, maintaining this values in the correct way is very difficult because this in this new way of doing business it is much easier to cheat, lie, and to do many other thing that are against the Islamic relives.

Europe and Colombia

First of all, before comparing Europe and Colombia, we must said something that everyone must now, this is that nowadays Europe has something that has change the European "life" for the past years, what we are talking about is the creation of the European union which involves 27 states, and also involves a new shared currency called EURO, while Colombia is just Colombia and has no unions such as this one.

First of all we must understand that a Trade Union is a labor union and that a labor union is an organization of workers that fight for a common goal. This trade unions work well depending on the importance that the state gives to them.

The European Union counts with many different trade unions, and lots of them are all about the workers rights, for example the European Trade Union Confederation which has a goal which is “to speak on behalf of the common interests of workers” *. This ETUC has an excellent advantage which is that it works directly with the European Presidency, Council, Commission and Parliament which means that the workers can have leverage power because they get to negotiate directly with those that have the power to change things.

On the other hand we have Colombia which also has different trade unions which have different goals

(each trade union has its own goal), this trade unions work really well as in Europe, but there is a huge

difference which is that in Europe unions are subscribe a confederation that takes common interests to certain governmental institution, but in Colombia unions are not subscribe to such confederation. So here is where the difference is, but we can say that both, Europe and Colombia care about its workers, and implemented some trades for keeping their rights.
